MIK stands for Mounting is Key. This innovative system allows you to easily swap over baskets and crates and lock them on your rack with just a click. Electra’s MIK-compatible products are the key to an outstanding ride.
Slide the front hook under the forward MIK rung.
Push the back of the accessory down, listen for the click and remove the key (optional).
Your bike may already feature an MIK rear rack. If not, our MIK front and rear racks are now available for most models. From there, choose anything from our Pet Carrier, to one of our Crates or Low Profile Honeycomb Baskets depending on what your day has in store.
Many of our other accessories pair with the MIK adapter and carrier plate, so your favourite bag or basket can also get in on the fun. It sounds too good to be true. Lucky for you and your bike, it’s not.
